Here at Carolina Classics at the Capital we’ve spent the last few months tweaking, revising and, in some cases, reinventing our model for what’s fast becoming one of the most popular classic car shows in the Southeast. Last August, an estimated 40,000 people flooded the streets of Downtown Raleigh to see hundreds of beautiful cars and trucks on display. More than 7,000 of them paid to tour the exhibits and vendor areas inside the Raleigh Convention Center, and our goal in 2012 is to convert more of those attendees into customer prospects for our vendors and sponsors.

What hasn’t changed is the great downtown atmosphere in North Carolina’s centrally located capital city. We’ll still have huge crowds, live oldies music, radio station broadcasts, TV coverage, conveniently located restaurants, bars and hotels, and the Friday Night Cruise-In! (Free for car show participants.)

As you schedule your 2012 show calendar, please reserve Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 17th, 18th and 19th. That’s the weekend we’ll be back in Downtown Raleigh with hundreds of cars, tens of thousands of spectators, live bands and great vendors. We’re already hearing from vendors and merchants who weren’t part of the 2011 Classics at the Capital Show and want to be there in 2012. So, don’t lose your space to a competitor.
